Ben Rugg started behind a cafe counter in New Zealand straight out of high school, and through years of bartending and cooking at night, coffee was always the thing he came back to. He competed across the New Zealand Barista, Latte Art and Cup Tasters championships through 2013, and what pulls him back now is the growth he felt then and wants to chase again. He figures every routine comes down to the energy and personality a person brings, and he keeps one idea close: there's always more to learn.
